Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal information I collect when you contact me, book a class or visit my website, why I collect it, and what your rights are.
Who I am
I am Nicky Hodge, trading as ArtHouse26, a sole trader based in Kent. I run art classes and tutoring for children and young people, and I sell teaching resources online. I am the "controller" of the personal information described here, which means I decide how and why it is used. You can contact me at nicky@arthouse26.com
What I collect and why
I only collect what I need to run the classes safely and take payment. Below details who I collect information from, what is collected and why.
People who use the contact form - Name, email address and your message - To reply to your enquiry
Visitors to my website - Browser, network and device details, pages visited, clicks, scrolling, searches, timestamps and IP address - To run and secure the website and understand how it is used
Students - Name, age, school year, attendance - To run the classes and keep a register
Students' health information - Allergies and medical details you choose to share - To keep your child safe in class
Payments - Amount, date and payment status - To keep accounts and meet tax rules

Payment card details are handled by Bookwhen and PayPal. I do not see or store full card numbers.
Children's information
I collect information about children only from their parent or carer, and only to teach them safely.
Health and allergy details are optional. I use them only to keep your child safe and keep them stored securely. You can ask me to correct or delete them at any time.
Photos and work: I only share a child's work or images with your permission, which you give or decline when you book. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting me.
Safeguarding: if I am worried about a child's safety, I may need to share information with the appropriate authorities without asking first
Who I share information with
I never sell your information. I share it only with the services I use to run the business:
Bookwhen, my booking system, which holds booking details and takes payments
PayPal, which processes payments
Squarespace, which hosts my website and contact form
Outlook, which I use to send confirmations and messages
The Horsebridge, if they need an attendance list or emergency details for a session
These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies, and some may process it outside the UK with safeguards in place. I may also share information where the law requires it, such as with the police or safeguarding authorities.
How long I keep information
Contact form messages - 12 months after the last message, unless you book a class
Booking and student records - 12 months after your child's last class
Health and allergy details - While your child attends, and deleted within 3 months after they stop
Payment and invoice records - 6 years, to meet tax rules
Photos shared with permission - Until you withdraw permission or I stop using them
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to:
