Tutoring and coursework support, for every student
I support students with Art, from building foundational skills and confidence, through to GCSE and A-Level coursework. This includes home-educated students, for whom the in-person group programme is designed to run during school hours, as well as students in mainstream school who want extra guidance alongside their regular lessons. Everything is grounded in 26 years of secondary Art teaching experience.
Whether your child is working towards a qualification, preparing a portfolio for a competition or scholarship entry, or simply wants a structured, supportive space to develop as an artist, I offer group programmes, one-to-one tutoring, and workshops - in person wherever possible.
GCSE Programme - For Home Educated Students
Because sessions run during the school week, this programme is only available to home-educated students. I'm launching with GCSE Art & Design, with A-Level offered as interest and numbers allow. If you're specifically interested in A-Level, do get in touch, registering early interest genuinely helps this happen sooner.
Structured around the school year, with the option to sign up fresh at each new term.
Built around a portfolio unit at a time, in small groups of 5–8 students:
Sessions run weekly, in person, for 2 hours - currently based in Herne Bay, with Canterbury and Thanet as possible future locations.
On exam entry
Exam entry and coursework moderation for Art & Design are handled through an approved exam centre for home-educated private candidates - this is standard practice for the subject, and something I guide every family through as part of the programme, not something you're left to work out alone.
I'm also building relationships with local schools, with the aim of offering a more local option in the future.
One-to-one tutoring
One-to-one tutoring is available for any student, including those in mainstream school, and can be scheduled around school hours, evenings, or weekends to fit your timetable.
It's ideal for catching up on a specific skill, working through a tricky part of the portfolio, or preparing for the externally set task, either alongside or instead of the group programme.
Key Stage 3
A similar programme is also available for KS3 students who want a solid grounding in Art before starting their GCSE.
As with the GCSE and A-Level programme, the main KS3 group runs during the school day, making it available to home-educated students. Depending on interest and availability, an after-school KS3 group may also run — opening this option up to students in mainstream school as well.
Beyond general skill-building, KS3 sessions can also support students working towards a specific goal, including entering art competitions or preparing a portfolio for scholarship entry.
